About Me
Counseling can be healing for everyone at some point in life.
Struggle, stagnation, worry, loss, and change are universal experiences.
So is the need to feel supported, encouraged, accepted, and safe in self-expression.
Counseling has been a gift on my own road to self-discovery, self-compassion, stronger relationships, and overall wellness, and I hope it will be for you as well!
I look forward to walking through hard moments and phases of transition with you, as well as celebrating your individuality, aspirations, and strengths.
My Education
I earned my master’s degree at Adams State University and completed my practicum at AZ Pinnacle Counseling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in 2012, in Film and Television Producing and Pre-Law from the University of Arizona. In 2021, I became certified as a Yoga Instructor.
My Professional Journey
Before becoming a professional counselor, I worked several industries. For a decade I consulted with real estate agents and large brokerages to help them grow and thrive.
Before that, held roles in department store management, resort hospitality, freelance media producing, and even as a tour guide! In every role I’ve held, the key to my own fulfillment has been making space for people to share their stories safely and to feel understood.
While working one-on-one with REALTORs, clients, and colleagues to help them overcome hurdles beyond business needs, I realized my passion is counseling, rather than strict business development. It is honor to focus on supporting others’ wellness and healing.
My credentials include being a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona. I am also a National Certified Counselor™. In order to become certified, NCCs voluntarily meet national board standards in education, experience and conduct.
I am passionate to work with individuals seeking support with:
- Personal growth, identity development, and healing from anxiety, depression, and trauma.
- Later-life transitions such as retirement, grief, and relocation.
- LGBTQAI2S+ concerns, affirmation, and advocacy.
- Professional development and career counseling: work life is vital to wellness, confidence, and healthy relationships.
In Addition to Therapy
As a former Midwesterner, I adore the sunshine and warm weather here in Arizona, where I have lived since 2008. I enjoy yoga, travel, time with nieces and nephews (AKA “niblings”), dance classes, and TV binges with my partner.
